Walkways
Walkways -Whether a walkway greets your guest at the street or in the driveway it is an integral part of the formal entrance to your home. It should be above all else safe, solid and stable. Making it attractive is the easy part. With the abundant amount of choices available within the industry it is only a matter of deciding color, shape, texture and material. The Design Staff here at Neave would be delighted to collaborate with you to uncover the most attractive design configurations available to create an entrance so special that even the delivery person can’t help but whisper a soft “wow” to themselves as they are dropping off your most recent online purchase. Walkways may also comprise other surfaces within the designed circulation patterns within your property. Perhaps a beautifully constructed walkway transports friends arriving in your driveway out to the back yard for a barbeque. Perfectly positioned off of the corner of the garage, your guests can smoothly move around the side of the house to the back yard, arriving at the formal sitting area, located just feet from your combination outdoor kitchen/bar on the newly constructed back patio. It’s time for dinner and drinks; enjoy the party! While your friends are raving about your most recent project, you remember how your personal designer at Neave described how the colors of the chosen materials would blend and contrast perfectly with each other. As you “Thank” your friends for their compliments regarding the new outdoor addition to the property you say “It was easy, the Neave Group is great”.
Steps & Landings – Steps and Landings are very important family members of walkways. Unless you need to comply with codes relating to the disabled, you will most likely use the option of steps to overcome a grade change on your property. All materials chosen for construction can be uniform as we design and construct your hardscape features.
Paths & Stepping Stones – Paths are the informal cousins of walkways. They serve the same purpose as walkways; they are a place for traffic to move. You want to utilize paths in the areas that are not frequently traveled or viewed. Due to the lesser amount of foot traffic they can be created from different materials. While formal pavers and the like can be implemented into a path, generally the path can be lined with an aggregate that will serve as the perfect surface to handle the lesser amount of traffic. Your surfacing options are almost limitless. Stepping stones can also be incorporated into your landscape as a path. They can be the perfect informal material to use when you need to get from point A to point B.
